Carpet still stinks

Febreze didn’t work last night; the living room still stinks. It’s hard to say if it smells better, I think I’m too close to it to tell. Needless to say we’ll be shampooing the carpet this weekend. Febreze didn’t cut it for this one.

You know, maybe all you need is good old baking powder. Try sprinkling some on the area where it stinks and let it absorb the odor. I know it works for my fridge, why not the carpet? When I had a cat, I used to sprinkle Arm and Hammer carpet deodorizer (see what it looks like http://www.armhammerpets.com/DogProducts/products.asp) 15 minutes before I vaccuum. Maybe worth a try
