I recently tried the Spot Shot Instant carpet stain remover (WD-40 company is the one who makes this 
product). There was a bbq stain that was a couple of months old (I covered with a rug because I could not remove it) this product completely took the stain away. My son got sick the other night - this product is awesome - it took up pasta sauce stain (not to be gross) without any hard scrubbing.
Now I will warn you, there is a strong industrial type smell as the product is removing the stain - but it is amazing how well this product worked.

You think it would work on an ink stain? I was taking a design class back in college and we had an inking project. I was inking my piece when the inkwell toppled over (with the slight brush of an arm, mine!). I scrubbed, I sprayed. Everything. I’ve tried almost everything.
