Snaps for Snapware

I’ve used Rubbermaid for years, but after a while they turned dingy and/or stained; It was time to toss them. A Bed, Bath & Beyond flyer extolled the virtues of Snapware and my interest was peaked. Armed with my 20-percent-off coupon, I picked up an 18-piece set, sold by the box lingo with words like […]

Bumbo baby seat

I wish I’d known about the bumbo seat earlier. It’s a seat that allows your infant to sit up without your help. It’s strange looking and makes your baby look strange sitting in it, but let me tell you mommies and daddies, you’ll love this thing. Think *hands free.* According to the company, as soon […]

Reach Flosser really reaches

Same scenario…dentist every 6 months…guilt-inducing sighs from the teeth cleaner every time…”Ummm…now…your gums seem to be very irritated…are you not flossing regularly?” (hmmm…regularly is kind of a broad term…) “Well, I’m trying….sometimes I do forget.”
I try to be consistent with the flossing. But when there’s 6 months in between the inquisition and the daily “Man, […]

N.Y.C. New York Color Curling Mascara curls great …

… but what it provides in curling power, it lacks in volumizing. Yes, that’s right, I want a mascara that can do it all - curl, thicken, separate - is that too much too ask? I’ve only used it once so far - props to N.Y.C. for the stylish tube and great value ($2.99) - […]

Magic Bullet Express Blender my …

The Magic Bullet is about as magic as the Magic 8-Ball. Last night I was tired, I was hungry, and I wanted my salad made quick so I could plop into the recliner and relax. I willed myself to start chopping the bell peppers, cucumber, celery and carrots. I looked over at my unopened Magic […]

Aromatherapy Soothing Sugar Scrub Eucalyptus Spearmint

Aroma, yes. Therapy, not so much. The fresh scent of the eucalyptus spearmint will linger in your shower for days, but the scrub itself leaves a oily residue on your skin. It’s suppose to be a soothing, refreshing exfoliator, but that residue doesn’t make an enjoyable experience.

It’s a Miracle!

I’m talking about Aussie 3-Minute Miracle. It’s a leave-in conditioner by the makers of Aussie. After much reading about a random hair model in some popular magazine (I’m sure) deep-conditioning her hair once a week. I thought hey! With all the ironing I’ve been doing on my hair lately, no wonder my hair is dry. […]

MAC Fluidline

I am a big fan of being able to draw a fine line on my eyes for a day look, but a bit thicker, more dramatic look for night. The problem was, I hadn’t quite pinpointed the right liner with just the right variability of control.

I was originally using a Rimmel Eye Pencil, but it […]

Another eyebrow liner review

Thanks shopgirl_joyce for your post about the NYC brow stuff. I’d already purchased NYC’s brow liner pencil — one of the few I could find at a local CVS — so I’ll give a little review here … I’ve used it a couple of times and it’s better than nothing, but I wouldn’t say it’s […]

Sparse eyebrows? NYC Browser Kit to the rescue!

Anyone close to me knows I’m a drugstore-ho. I scour the aisles of Walgreens or CVS just to see what new cheap thrills I can find to calm my product addiction. So when I read shopgirl_alicia’s comment below, I thought I need to start sharing some of my drugstore finds.
The NYC Browser Brow Kit contains […]
