Christmas

I love kitchen gadgets and I love to grill – so when I saw this appliance, I knew that I had to have it – The Griddler.

griddler.jpgI am a huge fan of Cuisinart appliances, so I had high hopes for this early on and let me tell you it has not let me down.

It is the most versatile piece of kitchen equipment that I have.  I use it at least 4 times a week.   You can make pancakes, press sandwiches and grill chicken.  It makes an incredible grilled cheese sandwich and my son loves for me to grill his peanut butter and jelly sandwich (probably an acquired taste!).

I have some friends that own the George Forman Grill and when they saw me using this, they went and bought one for themselves.  The best part is that it is so easy to clean that you want to use it over and over again.  After every use, you simply pop-out the cooking plates.  Did I mention that it was easy to clean - I love this feature!

Another plus is that the grill also lays flat, so you can cook for a crowd.   Whether you are using the griddle or grill, you are going to find a ton of different uses for this appliance that you will always want to leave it out on the counter.  I actually moved the Kitchen aid blender to the cabinet to make room for this, that is how often I use it.This would be a great gift for a wedding or bridal shower or heck pick one up just for yourself and get grilling!

treestand.jpgLast night as we were putting up our Christmas tree I was reminded of the best 50 bucks we’ve spent in years — on the Swive Straight Christmas Tree Stand! Truly a life (um, marriage) saver when it comes to putting up your tree. Here’s how it works –
There’s an oval piece of the base that is not attached — you screw that onto the bottom of the tree trunk, then you put the tree (with the oval piece) into the base on the floor. At this point it may be crooked. Don’t fret. Now, just hold the top of your tree with one hand, put your foot on the peddal located on the base of the unit and rotate/tilt/move the tree to the desired position. Let go of the peddal. Viola! You’ve got one straight tree — without all the swearing!

Since we purchased this stand several years ago we have never had a crooked tree — or an argument. People, if you want to make this Christmas easier go out and buy this tree stand. I’m pretty sure you can get it at most large Target-like stores.

Get it now! $50  (if I could give it more than 5 stars I would!)
