betty-crocker.jpgMy son has taken an interest in baking, so I went to the store to look for a mix that wouldn’t have a lot of ingredients, and would be easy for us to make. When I was in the grocery store I came across a muffin mix from Betty Crocker - Chocolate Chip Muffin Mix. Ok so what kid doesn’t like chocolate and if there is chocolate in the name it has to be good.

We had so much fun baking these together, he loved mixing in the chocolate and then eating them just as they came out of the oven - hot and yummy - they would be perfect to take to a pot-luck. They were great as an addition to Sunday brunch as well.

Taking about baking, I have to give a shout out to probably the best baker in the entire group, shopgirl_alicia. She made this cake the other day, just a plain white cake but she put chocolate pudding in between the layers - I know you read that correct, chocolate pudding - YUMMY! What a great idea. She also makes the best carrot cake on the whole planet - but I will save that for another blog!
