Register Rewards Are Rolling on Walgreens Schick Razor Deal

I’ve always been more of a CVS shopper, mainly because there isn’t a Walgreens near me.  But I have been having so much fun rolling register rewards; I may become a Walgreens lover.

Two weeks ago they had the Stayfree on sale for $2.99, and you earned a $3 RR.  I had a $2 MQ, so I only paid $1 for them, and got a $3 RR.   Last week Walgreens had Kellogg’s cereals 2/$5.  I used a $1 MQ and my $3 RR to pay for them.  I spent a $1 and earned another $2 RR.

So this week, for my first transaction, I used my $2 RR and $5 MQ to get the Schick Hydro 3 razor for $1, and I earned a $5 RR.  The $5 RR is rolling which means I can use it to buy another razor and still get the $5 RR.  So for my second transaction I bought another Schick Hydro 3 razor and the EOS shave cream which is on sale for $2.99 and gives you a $3 RR.  I spent $1 on this transaction and received back a $3 RR for the EOS, and a $5 RR on the razor.  I bought some more Schick razor coupons from www.Couponcarryout.com and hope to be able to continue rolling those RR’s.

Schick Hydro 3

hydro31.jpgI’m really not discriminatory when it comes to razors (much to my husband’s chagrin). Genderizing razors is beyond me. Does it shave my legs (and other parts) well? Will it nick me 100 times during the process? These are questions I care about, so if it’s Mach or Maven or Venus or Victor is not of any concern to me.

What’s also attractive is when the non-disposable razors are on sale, as was the case last week at Walgreens for the new Schick Hydro 3. It was on sale for $7.99 and I got $5 RR, you bet I was giving it a shot.

And I’m glad I did, it seriously was one of the smoothest shaves my legs (and other parts ;) ) have experienced in a really long time. I barely had the three “Ultra Glide” blades touch my skin and the hair was completely gone. What I liked most was how silky my legs felt after and not one nick the whole time! A first with a new razor.

This may have something to do with it, according to Schick’s website “The built-in Lubricating Gel Reservoir releases a water activated gel that hydrates your skin as you shave. Our 3 Ultra Glide Blades with built in skin guards act to smooth your skin and reduce irritation as you shave. It lasts up to 2X longer than ordinary lubrication strips.”

And that was another plus, no red dots or irritation. Since this is a new product there will be a lot of deals around it so definitely try it out. That Walgreens deal I mentioned above is still going on through May 8 in Central Florida. I’ll be giving the other new product, Schick Hydro 5 a spin next time and let you know what I think, but the 3 is certainly a keeper.
