I would’ve given this a higher rating, but the day after a used it I noticed the spot that I had cleaned on my wool-pile rug was discolored. It’s only a shade or so lighter, the rug is not ruined, but I certainly won’t be trying this product on any other wool materials. On the bright side, there’s not a hint that there was ever a stain on the rug.
I was surprised; I’ve been using Woolite products for years and growing up my mom used them as well. And I’ve used the Oxy Deep spray solution on another item with glowing results.
The P.O.D. itself is portable, easy to use, and made cleaning my pet’s mess easier and quicker. It’s an all-in-one solution to cleaning up stains. I plan to dump the Oxy Deep solution and use another product.
Skip it: If you want to try this product yourself, test it on a small area first. You can find it as your local grocery store in the cleaning/detergent aisle. There’s a $1/1 MFRC in the 03-14-10 SS or $1/1 MFRC in the 06-13-10 SS.
I don’t have a washer and dryer in my apartment so convenience is key when doing laundry because of the amount of hauling stuff around that is involved. That’s why I loved the all-in-one concept of Purex’s new laundry sheets. And for the most part they deliver.
The concept is simple three sheets in one, detergent on one, softener on the second sheet and anti-static on the third and all three are attached to one another so it’s essentially one sheet. I’m only carrying a sheet to the laundry with me versus boxes or bottles of detergent and fabric softener. So the delivery is fantastic, as far as the job that needs to be done it completed most of that. The detergent did remove all the stains but I did notice some scents left over in the armpits of some of the shirts in the pile. The fabric softener and anti-static did a fantastic job and the clothes smelled great (Spring Oasis scent) coming out of the dryer. Even after a day’s wear my clothes still smell great.
Get it: Averaging around $4-$5 for a package with 20 sheets (20 loads) is a decent price. The smell isn’t overwhelming and stays on your clothes and with the exception of a bit of odor in a couple of very used shirts, the detergent works. I received this through a free sample deal that is still going on. Definitely try it for yourself.
Having two little boys, I have tried just about all of the laundry stain removal products. Shout is my favorite. I can easily spray the stains, and toss the dirty item in the launrdy basket, until I am ready to do the wash. So I was thrilled today when I found a great deal on Shout at Target. Here is the deal:

Pet hair and I go way back so when I saw a commercial for this product, I knew I had to try it. Living in a multi-pet household, I’m always on the watch for new products that will make keeping my furniture and floors as hair-free as possible.
I didn’t expect this product to live up to its “quick and easy” promises, but live up to, and exceed, it did. The product is simple to use, just remove it from the (eco-friendly) box, and start sliding it on your fabric left and right in short strokes. One roller removes the pet hair while the other cleans off the first brush and pushes the pet hair into the plastic top.
When the sweeper is full, it will not pick up anymore hair. I’ve been using the product for a few months and am getting to the point I need to buy a new one.
Get it: At $5-6 at your local supermarket, it’s a $1 or so higher than it should be considering its disposable, but also considering it’s highly effective, it’s still worth the purchase. There’s a $1/1 in the 5-2-10 SS.
I have a lot of problems with mold in my shower so when I saw this product, I decided to give it a try, even with the high price tag. The kit I purchased included the automatic cleaner and two refills.
It was easy to set up, but not easy to hang. The intention is to hook the cleaner on your shower head, but I already had a shower caddy hanging there so I had to improvise. I managed to hang it by twisting the metal hook and placing it over the edge of the shower.
The product is simple to use: Press a blue button and the sprayer spins to cover the four shower walls. Unfortunately though it didn’t actually cover all four shower walls top to bottom, it only covered part of them. Scrubbing Bubbles claims to “work hard so you don’t have to” but apparently we don’t have the same work ethic. If I went to get a spray tan, I wouldn’t expect to have only half my body sprayed. And if I use an automatic cleaner to remove scum from my shower, I don’t expect to have only half the scum removed.
In all fairness, within two weeks after I bought this version, an improved product was released, one including two sprayers that are intended to cover not only all four walls but also target corners. I haven’t tested this product to find out if there’s any improvement, and I don’t plan on shelling out another $20 to do so.
Forget it: After such a bad experience with the initial version of this product, I’m not brave enough to try the second one, but if you decide to take the risk, let us know what you think. You can purchase the product at most grocery chains for around $20.

I just got my Dyson a few months ago and I LOVE it! It gives my carpet beautiful sweeper marks, and work great on the tile. (My Hoover use to shoot the particles across the room when I tried to use it on tile.) It is amazing how much dirt fills up in the canister. Mine features Dyson’s Ball technology for smooth steering and a Telescope Reach wand for cleaning hard-to-reach places like under the cabinets, or cleaning out the car.

Get it: They have several different models, and most larger retailers sell them. This offer at Kohl’s is just about the cheapest I have seen.
