That’s it for my Walgreens trips this week. Hopefully next Sunday’s ad will be more appealing. :)

Trip Summary: CVS and Walgreens – spent $3.98

Today I stopped at CVS and Walgreens to pick up a few final items before the weekly sales end. Here’s how I did:

CVS

Transaction 1:

1 BandAid and 1 Neosporin ($4.49 and $6.49)
Used $1.50/2 MFRC 06-20-10 RP

Mom had a gift card for $7.81 for some products she had returned so wanted to use it to get some ECBs for another product she needed. After the Q and gift card, paid $1.67 oop and got back $5 ECB.

In the Transaction 2 we bought the cocoa butter product she needed, used the $5 ECB and paid $.85 oop.

I also picked up another 8 SOBE drinks and paid $.45.

Walgreens

Trip Summary – shook my moneymaker at Walgreens today

I love saving money and getting the products I need or want to try for cheap, but I especially love it when I come out the story spending less than a $1! Here’s what I bought:

Alive Vitamins, $10
Used $1/1 MFRC PRINT

Crayola 24 pk. crayons, $1

Penway 10 pk. pencils, 9-cent filler

Subtotal: $.08, saved $15.38, used $10 RR, got back $11 RR

Trip Summary: Publix, 11 items, saved $16.67

I’m so stocked up that I don’t have the need for many things – or the room to put them! With exception of bananas everything I bought was on sale or BOGO. I bought 11 items (counting 5 bananas as 1), spent $13.94 and saved $16.67. I used coupons for the Quaker and Nutri-Grain, here’s the breakdown:

Quaker Quakes, BOGO, 2 for $2.99
Used 2 $1/1 MFRC PRINT [The $1/1 is no longer available but there is a $1/2 that still makes this a good deal]
Paid $.99 or $.49 each

Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Bars, BOGO, 2 for $3.49
Used 2 MFRC $.75/1 7-11-10 RP
Paid $1.99 or $.99 each

Trip Summary: Target – $10.19 for 2 Crystal Lights and 3 Kashi Frozen Pizzas

2 Crystal Light on-the-go, sale $1.97 each
Used $1/1 from the Kraft coupon booklet
Paid $2.94 for 2 or $1.47 each

3 Kashi frozen pizzas, 2 for $10
Used 2 $1/1 Target coupons, PRINT
Used 1 B2G1 Target coupons, PRINT
Used 1 $.75/1 MFRC, PRINT (I only had 1, but even better deal if you have 3

Paid $7.25 for 3 or $2.42 each! If you have 2 or 3 $.75/1 MFRC, it would be $6.50 ($2.17 each) or $5.75 ($1.92 each).

Be sure you don’t buy other lower-priced Kashi items in the same transaction or the pizza will not be your free item since it’s more expensive.

Trip Summary: CVS, Staples, Target

Made a couple quick trips today, here’s what I picked up:

Target

2 Raid Earth Options, $5.54
Used BOGO MFRC 07-11-10 SS
Used $2/1 MFRC 05-09-10

1 Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer, still price cut to $6.99

Used $3/1 Target web coupon (no longer available)

Subtotal: $2.53 (The cashier forgot to credit the .05 for my green bag), saved $17.49

A note on the Earth Options, this was the first time I have seen these priced at $5.54, previously they were more than 7. There was no indication of a price cut and the register rang up the item at $7-plus price. I had to go to customer service to get reimbursed.

CVS

2 Cover Girl lip products, BOGO
Used 2 $1/1 MFRC 06-06-10 PG or 07-04-10 PG

2 John Frieda products, 2 for $10 sale
Used $3/1 MFRC 06-06-10 SS (same insert has a $2/1 MFRC)
Used $2.50/1 MFRC PRINT, after filling out product advisory

After using 3 $1 ECBs and $7.59 from gc (got a $25 gc for new prescription a week ago, had $7.59 left), paid $4.59 oop and got back $5 John Frieda ECBs.

Staples

Love those $1 deals, I picked up 2 of the pencil cases (to store my lip products and mascara!) and a pack of the photo paper. After the easy rebate, it’s $3 plus tax!

Publix Trip Summary: Fixins for the Fourth!

Stopped by Publix today to pick up a few items for a grillin’ and chillin’ get-together tomorrow. Here are the items I got that are worth noting in case you’re in need of anything last minute. I’ve already said to myself a few times, “I wish I’d picked up that …” :)

Of the weekly deals, I picked up 10 ears of corn for $1.49, 2 Diana’s Banana Babies (BOGO), 4 Yoplait Fiber One 4-packs ($1/1 MFRC PRINT, $.50/1 PRINT), 2 Reynolds Wrap Nonstick (BOGO, $1.25/1 MFRC PRINT) and 2 Philadelphia Cream Cheese (sale 4 for $5, $1/1 MFRC PRINT, register on the site, then go to home page, coupon is on the right, you’ll need to scroll down a bit). I also picked up two A.1. Steak Sauce (BOGO).

Here’s a cost breakdown for the items I used coupons:

2 A.1. Steak Sauce, BOGO
Used 2 Publix coupons ($1/1 Publix Ground Beef (minimum 1 lb. purchase) wyb 10 oz. A.1. Steak Sauce or 16 oz. A.1. Marinade) from the new Smart Savings booklet that I posted about a few days ago.
Total: $8.48 ($2.17 and $2.01 for meat, $4.29 for 2 bottles of A.1. or $2.14 each)

I also wanted to pick up the Bic Multi-Purpose Lighters that are BOGO but they were sold out, no surprise! I got a rain check though. If you planned to pick these up too, the printable campaign has already maxed out but check your 05/23/10 SS for a $1/1 MFRC, it expires at the end of the month.
